Terms of Service

Please read these Terms carefully before using CourtOnChat. By using our service, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and CourtOnChat ("we", "our", "us"), a service operated in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.


By initiating a conversation with our WhatsApp booking assistant or by using any part of our service, you confirm that:

You are at least 18 years of age

You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement

You agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy


If you do not agree to these Terms, please discontinue use of our service immediately.

2. Description of Service

CourtOnChat provides a WhatsApp-based platform that allows users to:

Browse real-time availability of padel and tennis courts at partner venues

Make court reservations via WhatsApp conversation (number selection or natural language input)

Receive instant booking confirmations with unique booking codes

Manage, modify, or cancel existing bookings via WhatsApp


Our service is currently available in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, and may expand to other locations over time. We support interactions in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.


CourtOnChat acts as an intermediary platform between users and venue partners. The actual court rental contract is between you and the respective venue.

3. Booking Process & Slot Hold Policy

3.1 How Booking Works

Bookings are initiated through WhatsApp by sending a message to our booking assistant. You may select courts either by replying with a number (e.g., "1", "2") or by typing a natural language request (e.g., "Tomorrow 7pm padel for 2 hours").


3.2 Five-Minute Slot Hold

When you select a court slot, that slot is temporarily reserved ("held") for you for 5 (five) minutes. During this period:

The slot is unavailable to other users

You must confirm the booking within this window to secure it

If you do not confirm within 5 minutes, the hold is automatically released and the slot becomes available again


3.3 Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only after you receive a booking confirmation message containing a unique booking code. Until you receive this code, your booking is not guaranteed.


3.4 Booking Code

Your booking code is proof of reservation. Please present this code or share it when arriving at the venue. CourtOnChat is not responsible for denied entry if a valid booking code is not available.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

4.1 Cancellation by User

You may cancel a confirmed booking via WhatsApp. The applicable refund or cancellation policy depends on the venue's individual policy, which will be communicated to you during the booking process.


General guidelines (subject to venue-specific terms):

Cancellations made 24+ hours before the booking: Full refund or credit (where applicable)

Cancellations made 2–24 hours before the booking: Partial refund at venue's discretion

Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the booking: No refund (unless the venue determines otherwise)


4.2 Cancellation by Venue

If a venue cancels your confirmed booking due to unforeseen circumstances (maintenance, weather, etc.), we will notify you immediately and offer either a full refund or assistance in finding an alternative slot.


4.3 No-Show Policy

If you fail to arrive for a confirmed booking without prior cancellation, you may be considered a no-show and may forfeit any applicable refund, at the venue's discretion.


4.4 Refund Processing

Refunds (where applicable) will be processed within 5–7 business days through the original payment method. CourtOnChat is not responsible for delays caused by payment processors or banks.

5. User Obligations

By using CourtOnChat, you agree to:


5.1 Accurate Information

Provide accurate and truthful information during the booking process. Providing false information may result in cancellation of your booking without refund.


5.2 Responsible Use

Use the service only for legitimate personal court bookings

Not abuse the slot hold mechanism (repeatedly holding slots without confirming)

Not use automated scripts or bots to interact with our WhatsApp assistant (except as expressly permitted)


5.3 Conduct at Venue

Comply with the rules and regulations of the venue where your court is booked. CourtOnChat is not responsible for any disputes arising from your conduct at a venue.


5.4 Prohibited Uses

You must not:

Use our service for any unlawful purpose

Attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with our booking systems

Harass, abuse, or threaten our staff or automated assistants

Resell or commercially transfer bookings made through our platform without prior written consent

6. Venue Partner Terms

6.1 Partnership Agreement

Venue owners and operators ("Venue Partners") who list their courts on CourtOnChat are subject to a separate Venue Partner Agreement in addition to these Terms.


6.2 Venue Responsibility

Venue Partners are solely responsible for:

The accuracy of court availability and pricing information listed on our platform

The quality, safety, and maintenance of their facilities

Their own cancellation and refund policies

Compliance with applicable local regulations and licensing requirements


6.3 CourtOnChat's Role

CourtOnChat facilitates the connection between users and venues but is not a party to the contract between a user and a venue. Any dispute regarding court quality, facility conditions, or service at the venue must be resolved directly with the venue, though we will provide reasonable assistance.


6.4 Becoming a Venue Partner

To list your venue on CourtOnChat, contact us at hello@courtonchat.com. Onboarding is subject to our venue review process and signing of the Venue Partner Agreement.

7. Payments

7.1 Pricing

Court booking prices are set by individual venue partners and displayed during the booking conversation. Prices are inclusive of applicable GST unless stated otherwise.


7.2 Payment Methods

Accepted payment methods will be communicated during the booking process. CourtOnChat may integrate third-party payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay, UPI). By making a payment, you also agree to the terms of the relevant payment processor.


7.3 Payment Security

We do not store your card or bank account details on our servers. All payment processing is handled by PCI-DSS compliant payment providers.


7.4 Pricing Errors

In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel the affected booking and issue a full refund. We will notify you promptly if this occurs.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on CourtOnChat's platforms, including but not limited to the service name, logo, website design, booking assistant conversation flows, text, graphics, and software, is the exclusive property of CourtOnChat and is protected under applicable Indian intellectual property laws.


You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use our service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without our prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 Service Availability

We strive to keep CourtOnChat available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We are not liable for any losses arising from service downtime, WhatsApp outages, or technical failures beyond our control.


9.2 Venue-Related Issues

CourtOnChat is not liable for:

The quality, condition, or safety of court facilities at partner venues

Actions or omissions of venue staff

Injuries, loss, or damage occurring at a venue

Inaccuracies in venue-provided availability or pricing data


9.3 Cap on Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, CourtOnChat's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific booking giving rise to the claim.


9.4 Indirect Damages

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profit or data, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CourtOnChat, its officers, employees, and venue partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

Your violation of these Terms

Your use of the service in an unauthorised or unlawful manner

Any false or misleading information provided by you during booking

Your conduct at a venue


This indemnification obligation will survive termination of your use of our service.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.


11.2 Jurisdiction

Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.


11.3 Dispute Resolution Process

Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at hello@courtonchat.com. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve the dispute within 30 days.


11.4 Consumer Disputes

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a consumer under applicable Indian consumer protection law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

12. Termination

12.1 By You

You may stop using CourtOnChat at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at hello@courtonchat.com.


12.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to CourtOnChat at our discretion, with or without notice, if:

You violate these Terms

You abuse the booking system or engage in fraudulent activity

Required by law or regulatory authority


Upon termination, any confirmed future bookings will be cancelled with applicable refunds processed per Section 4.

13. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will:

Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page

Notify active users via WhatsApp


Your continued use of CourtOnChat after the updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the service.
